子供のころ、父のバイクの後ろに乗って蛍を見に行った思い出があります。
川沿いに
無数の蛍が飛び交い、
無数の蛍が飛び交い、その辺の笹を取って振り回しただけで
たくさん蛍がくっつくほどでした
おそらく数百万匹 と言った数だったろうと思われます。
今でも人里はなれた山のほうに行くと
そういった景色も見られるようです。
今年は行ってみようと思います。

My father sometimes brought me to the river to see a firefly.
I think there were millions of fireflies at that time.
We can see almost no firefly at ｔhe same place now.
I think that's probably a cause of agricultural chemicals.
But it's possible to see a lot of fireflies even now at far up the mountains.

serene! i adore these photos, Aki, water is so soothing to look at. especially the last shot is magic with its soft movement.
so sad to read about the fireflies, lets hope that our awareness of the consequences our actions causes to the environment has not come too late. lets hope that one day you will see those fireflies again.
The movement of valuing the environment where the fireflies can live is advanced now. The place where the fireflies lives has increased little by little.
